MARCHANTS HILL OCTOBER 20TH - 23RD 2006 We held a multi activity camp at the pgl activity centre Marchants hill with 1 beaver, 12 cubs, 9 scouts and 7 explorer scouts, the following pictures tell the story and what a fantastic time we all had even the rain did little to dampen the enthusiasm. The activities we chose were the giant swing, climbing wall, abseiling, zip wire, rifle shooting, quad bikes, challenge course, initiative exercises, night stalker, aeroball, the giant egg race and low ropes there was even time for a bit of football and basket ball.

As always at the end of camp we had the experience of camp pants, which as we all know always just appear on camp they never belong to anyone and were never there before we arrived, Akela bravely put on the safety gear and tackled the problem with the aid of a litter picker
End of camp and we all got a certificate for attending the camp this was followed by some special awards among the special awards were the x factor award which went to the explorers for entertaining the leaders one evening with some songs, the mud lover award, the non stick award which went to one scout who managed the challenge course and stayed clean, low ropes in one go, best lady driver and to one cub the avoid anything with four wheels award, the only beaver in our group got the fearless and first in queue award and he was fearless and always managed to be first in every queue {breakfast, lunch, dinner, hot chocolate and tuck shop no matter where he started off in the queue}
Lastly a huge thank-you to all the leaders who gave up there time to allow this superb event to go ahead and thanks must also go to all the group for their willingness to join in everything and for their behaviour and conduct which was superb at all time. so THANK- YOU EVERYONE .
